Ok here goes - I go to new page or web, choose the web site template and then choose the one page web option.I give my page a title and specify where it should be saved. All ok so far. when the page is created, i click on the index.html and then choose the navigation tool. Now that my index page is onscreen, i insert 4 new pages and give each a new title (links etc) I then right click and apply the changes. My problem is that the new names are not changed in the folder list as they are in my instruction manual - it says that they automatically should change but mine don't. Any help would be appreciated as I am now just about ready to uninstall frontpage. It seems to do nothing that any tutorial says it should

That is strange - which instruction manual are you talking about? The one that comes with FrontPage 2002? Anyway, have you tried going to Tools Recalculate Hyperlinks? That may solve your problem.
