Everyday there is at least one Christian person asking Athiests why they don't believe in god and sometimes they even throw out a few bible verses too as if that will suddenly enlighten the Athiest to have faith. Why do they care if the Athiest doesn't believe? Does it really matter? It's not effecting thier faith or beliefs so what exactly is the point? Is this just some ploy to start an argument becasue I'm sure not all of them really care about a good argument against thier belief system. So Christians...what's your motive?
No. It really doesn't matter. God is my motivation to bring the Gospel. It's what we do. But when it suddenly becomes the focus to please people who hate God, it's not what I do.
The more certain people express their hatred for God, the more I know which side they are on. They express it and I know that they are not being chosen by God, so therefore God isn't wanting them either. God doesn't want everybody after all.

So I preach the Gospel, and God is able to bring around those who He wants. I do my part, and the rest is God's business.
I think christians are justifiably embarrassed by how silly the explanations of scripture are.
I've heard it said if you see a bus headed for a broken bridge you should reach out and stop it if you can. I can tell you from what I've seen christians and all religious people are losing on this sight, I dare say they are the people who are being brought up to speed, and their beliefs are being shaken.

I think their "plot" is to change the minds of the atheists. They would like everyone to agree with what they believe. I guess that is what they are suppose to do. Tell the world. The thing is, we know. We can decide now. I went through this huge religion thing trying to figure out if I was missing out on something. I researched all kinds of religions. I finally decided that I am an agnostic. Best way of describing me.
I figure if I try to show respect and kindness to others, I can't go wrong. I got tired of hearing about religion wars and all kinds of evil things in the name of religion. If there is a god I'm quite sure he wouldn't be happy with any religion, church, association, etc.... You just be the best person you can be.

Well JWs believe they need to convert people to get in God's good books (pun not intended), maybe Christians have a similar motive?
Because most Christians, or most people or any religion for that matter, see their theology and belief system as truth, they feel as though they are impelled to spread the word as one of God's children. They are trying to help people live better lives and avoid going to Hell for their ignorance. You asked your question to better understand Christian thought even though you are, presumably and forgive me if I am wrong, an Atheist. However, I do doubt that this is a reason Christians care about what Atheists think, but perhaps explains the inverse. Humans are social beings and hence interact with people. The motives for this interaction could range from a compulsion to (apparently) help someone create a brighter future for themselves, to a mere curiosity or desire for understanding.
