Honestly; there is nothing memorable.It's all so passable. Unlike the classic Ozzy songs. I will give some jobro haters some crap though, the jobro's are NOT gay. Gay isn't an insult. Not ALL haters do though. I'm not saying they're homophobic, but please for the sake of people who are gay, don't use it as an insult. But I honestly find nothing unique about them, not their voices, music, or lyrics. I'm not a huge fan of some hardcore classics, yet still remember songs by them because there is something that stands out about them. Not to mention, they're probably to young to know what they are singing about. I would also think that by 20 they would lose disney and be known as a kids band. So long as they are with disney they're being marketed to pre-teen girls. If they wanted to REALLY cared about what they were doing and wanted to be known than they would probably leave disney and target an audience that would appreciate their music.
Why do I hate them? I'm not a sheep for starters... I don't jump on the latest marketable fad like most teenage, hormone controlled girls. The fact that Disney has decided these guys are great "the next big thing" so to speak, doesn't make them talented muscians.

They are purveyors of industry manufactured, bland, pop mediocrity: just another cast of a fast aging mould.
Why should I not hate them? It's acts like them that have degraded the music business into a brothel, selling off the latest bands like sex, keeping the besotted teenage sheep satisfied...
As for their lyrics, they are so bland and formulaic: look up some Cradle of Filth lyrics... forget what you think about their music, Dani Filth is a poet as well as a vocalist and it shows in the bands lyrics.

I'm not a hardcore rocker, what-so-ever, but I can't stand the Jonas Brothers. They are not talented and only appeal to tweens. They are more in the music industry for fame and forturne, not for what really matters.

I hope you're not talking about the Jonas Brothers being the evolution of rock music, based on your statement about Ozzy and Alice Cooper being the past, because if you are, rock music is going downhill fast. They're music is technically, melodically, and maturely less complex in all forms than "past rock" is. I am not a hardcore rocker, but they hate them because they aren't hardcore rock. Maybe thats why hardcore rockers don't like them.
I agree with one of the above answer-ers when they said "Give me some of their music with actual substance." Nothing at all against the people who listen to them =), it's perfect for kids' music, but nothing much more.

The Jonas Brothers are a wad of bubble gum like Hanson, Menudo, New Kids and some of those fogettable groups. They are the icing on a crap cake. They are a $5 T-shirt-at-Wal-Mart group who makes bubble gum songs and they don't have the talent to be a lasting group. They make crappy songs and collect their money and soon people will forget about them and move on. I'm not into Iron Maiden or Ozzy, but I know that those bands had the talent to make the kind of songs that keep the fans loyal. One day you'll laugh at yourself for listening to the Jonas Brothers, and hope your mom never tells anyone about the Jonas Brothers beach towel she bought you.

Okay I don't hate the Jonas Brothers I dislike them. I would never say that they are gay or they suck or that they are not real music. I just don't like their music. Simple as that.

I listen to rock, metal, alternative (like Fall Out Boy, Panic At The Disco, Motion City Soundtrack) and I can't stand the Jonas Brothers.
firstly their band name is like a pizza company. "hello this is jonas bros' pizza how may we help you?"

im not a hardcore rocker, but im sorry to tell you honey, those lyrics are pretty basic. there is no actual depth there, no real talent. and i highly doubt the actual jonas brothers write them anyway... they are really just products, created by a bunch of money hungry adults. stick to underoath and the like, yeah? or listen to some afi, those lyrics are amazing, and you will instantly see the difference between good writing and shallow, immature dribble.
Well. I'm not an "OMG rocker". I don't like the Jonas Brothers. I DO like "When You Look Me In The Eyes". It's cute.
But.... the Jonas brothers don't write their own songs. They probably don't have enough life experience to actually know what they are singing about. They play their own instruments, but their arrangements are fairly simple and predictable. They aren't innovative.
That's not to say they don't have their place. Not everyone can relate to metal, country or rap. But young girls CAN relate to cute guys singing about how much they love her. There's nothing wrong with that. :)

All those sounds are standing on the shoulders of giants and for the sake of current identity you refuse to acknowledge the history. That's a mistake, but at 15 I do not expect you to admit dishonor. You are in fact the first person to call Ozzy Osbourne an "OMG rocker", whatever that is.
The real problem is that the Disney-style music is generated like a machine, all fluffy and perfect and usually never written by the artists themselves. The Jonas Brothers are different in that they do write their own material, but it is in the style of the same fluffy, "safe bet" style of pop. It gets old fast.
How can you say there's no substance to the backlash that's so powerful? I think people who are twice your age (in my case, three times your age) have an idea what kind of lyrics stand out. in short, twenty years from now the Jonas Brothers will be as absent from the scene as the Hudson brothers and the DeFranco family of the 70's are today, whom targeted that similar age audience.
Ozzy, Neil Young and Aerosmith still matter, in contrast.
I´m not hardcore rocker.... and I do like contemporary bands (good bands) like arctic monkeys, muse, kaiser chiefs, the hives, the kooks, the vines, black keys, the d4, wolf - mother etc. but Jonas brothers is Not a good band it just sounds pretty lame and unattractive..( and I´m not criticizing people who do like it just don't ask me to like it cause i never will)
these record cos have been doing this for years. teach some kids a few chords on a guitar, write them some wishy washy songs, and promote the sh"t out of them. hanson to the partridge boys. its nothing new and it aint changing music. oh, and they suck.
Before I answer I just want to say that this is just a personal opinion and not a really hardcore rocker. The reason why I hate JB is because they so famous which I don't think they should be. They just aren't as good as people perceive them to be. The songs they wright are so vintage with very very little originality. The main reason is that I saw all these bands on the warped such as Automatic Loveletter, Mayday Parade, Anderlin, All Time Low(I'm sure YOU haven't heard of them) who has the same style as them but can't seem find success, then I see JB I was like WTF!!! is wrong with the music industry. Try this listen to those bands and let 100 people who doesn't know JB(If you can find that many) and ask them who is better I'm sure at least 95% will love all of them better than JB.
