I live in NZ too! Anyway, if the vet says it's all good, then it is. My Samoyed is the same, he doesn't eat much, but it's fine.
Just feed what your breeder, or your vet, recommends.

lol i live in auckland! oh and i feed my dogs Tux but you can try pedigree, beneful or go to the vet and ask her what food does s/he recommend for your little dog
Don't worry about it. My Siberian Husky is the same way. Their systems are a little different than most dogs. They can go on little food and it does not bother them. But if you want him to eat more, start exercising him longer and harder. Let him run along side of you when you ride your bike. Get a harness and get your roller blades out. Whatever it takes to tire him out, do it. Use the internet and find a musher and ask what type of diet they recommend. Below are just a couple of good sites for you to research. There are plenty of others also. Good luck and happy exercising. Blue Buffalo Dog Food Coupon: Five Dollars Off! - Avenue K9 | Dog :: The food is very expensive, but goes fast with 3 dogs to feed? eagle pack dog food
Google it :))
Malamutes don't eat a lot for how big they are. Its the way they were bred to be. But for the adult any good large breed dry formula, and for the pup any large breed dry puppy food. You can mix in a little wet if you want to spice things up a bit but the dry food should be the basis of their diet.
