What should i use to get rid of my dogs eye boogers ?

my dog has white fur so under her eyes it is brown and i don't want to use peroxide because i don't want to burn her eyes what should i do??
i usually use a warm wash cloth, and get them off first thing in the morning..and i recently found out my dog has allergies and if yours does, take her to the vet and they make an eye cream stuff for that and it keeps their eyes from running so badly.
