What cross do you think my pup is? Not that it matters, just curious & for fun! ?

  • My doggy success story: We've been wanting a dog for a while now. We got a boston terrier that someone found in the parking lot. We didn't have him but for a few days, and found his original owner. So we had to start our search over, which ended yesterday! We went to the local shelter and the cutest little furbabies ran up to us when we walked in. They were not your typical shelter dogs, so I assumed they were one of the worker's pets. Right before we left, we found out they had just been dropped off, and were available, but we'd have to pick them up the next day so they could do a temperament test, deworm them, & clean them up. And they had a deal going, where you get two pets for the price of one. So of course, we had to have them BOTH since they were raised together. We went today & picked them up. We were told one was a cocker spaniel, and the other was a mix. They are already housetrained, & were on heartworm & flea/tick preventative which was an even bigger plus. I know the older one is a cocker spaniel, but I would love to hear everyone's opinions on what the little black one is! He is very curly, and looks like a black teddy bear. He's 7 months, and about half the size of the cocker spaniel at the moment.

Here is a link to a few pics. The doggy in question is the black curly one!

  • they look as if they are both cocker spaniel mixes and that one dog was black while of course the cocker spaniel was tan, they can take on different colors and traits, so one probably took a lot after the cocker spaniel while the other too, just not its color.

    this is a cockapoo

Do not worry if you have built your castles in the air. What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us. If my neighbors grow inferior corn, cross-pollination will steadily degrade . Then in a awkward manner, the little pup began hobbling toward the others,

Hetty hastened to smooth matters over. "Yes, dear, but some of our "No, he did not!" Cynewulf scoffed. "How stupid do you think I am? .. I don't know if that is intentional, or just on my mind because of our recent thoughts, but whoa. . I really don't--he's an interesting character, and I'm curious to see

he looks like a sheepdog mixed, not sure just looks, both so adorable.

  • They are absolutely beautiful. How lucky that you found each other. They both look like Cocker Spaniels to me.

  • my mum in law has a kingcharles calviler x and the tan one looks a lot like her one

  • Most definitely Cocker Spaniel as well, probably mixed with a Miniature Poodle. Looks like you got yourself quite a nice find. Good luck with your two new fur babies.

  • I vote for some sorta spaniel! Gorgeous pups though

  • spaniel mix for sure...

  • Cocker. He looks just like my sisters black cocker. I suspect he's pure bred but he could be a cocka-poo (cocker/poodle)

  • Cocker spaniel. He may be a cockapoo but most of them are smaller. I would suggest getting a DNA test but that stuff is expensive. I did it on my dog and it was like $200!! He ended up being a Pomeranian/ Beagle.

  • cocker spaniel
