aeternus Daily Meditation:: Thou knowest that I am unable to bring the same to good effect, unless Thou dost I think it is good advice to all who pray because there are times when a soul http://aeternus.stblogs.com/category/daily-meditatioin/page/2/HOME | I have been going to Church every Sunday, but Easter was the last time I went to Mass at the Catholic Church. I have been going to a baptist Church since I don't have a car, and the nearest Catholic Church is a very long walk.
If I am feeling to lazy to pray, would the Hail Mary and the Our Father be good to pray at random times of the day to get back into Christianity.
pray to God. you can't pray to mary because she can't hear you. afterall, you're trying to get back into your CHRISTIAN walk, so pray to God...things will get better. :] DiaryLand members area:: I had uploaded 5 of those pics, and I had been trying to put the link in my template to my site and has never written me a note and know probably is wondering who I am and http://members.diaryland.com/edit/notes.phtml?user=spritopiasHOME | Voice from the Desert 2007 August:: It is not enough for us to say, I love God, but I do not love my neighbor, she Am I a second to you? It's an excellent prayer. You can read about the power of the Hail Mary here (it's definitely worth reading, and shouldn't take too long):

The Rosary! It's GREAT! It helps me so much! You just gotta pray the rosary
It mustIt must be clear. Glory is not adoration. Glory is given to God and Jesus alone. Honour and veneration may be given to Mary and Saints, Mary and the Saints can act to bring us close to God.
just as God used Mary to come into human world, we must use her also to get to Jesus
Yes, the Hail Mary is an excellent prayer to overcome spiritual dryness. She is the Mother of the Church and, like all good mothers, loves to hear from her children.

I know my church has certain people who carpool all the time. Please contact the local Catholic Parish they are a great resource for carpooling info. As far as Prayers. I like the Act of faith. Or even the Nicean Prayer.
we're not suppose to pray to the dead...Mary was a created being like us therefore we are not to pray to her because we make her a god and she wasn't (it's a violation of the 1st Commandment have no other gods beside me)- also read 1 Sam 28 and Duet 18 which also forbids us from talking to the dead... Geez, give it up. If you think praying is going to make you all better, you need to take a serious look at what's really going on in the world and your life.
Pray to Jesus. Mary was just chosen to give birth to Jesus, nothing more, nothing less. As such an honor that might've been for her, it never says to pray to her.
Mary can't hear prayers to her.
Pray to Jesus, and most important, believe the Gospel to be saved.
Salvation is a free gift that happens in a split second of time! You can't work your way into heaven. The truth is that the Bible makes how to go to heaven clear and easy. The only way to be saved and go to heaven and not the eternal lake of fire is by believing in this life that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross and rose again (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe this and you are saved! It doesn't take a lifetime. It takes only a second in believing the Gospel.
Please pray now: "Jesus, please forgive me of my sins. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and You rose again. Thank You for eternal life!" You will be in heaven with Him forever when you die :)
Any prayer, time, even dedicating your work to God and Jesus. Ask for the Lords help that you may walk the way Jesus so tried to teach us. Remember what Jesus said....."anyone who ask's, receives"........"seek and ye shall find". Try to live to His "higher standard" rather than an earthly one.
I think what our friends here in Yahooanswere is failing to notice is that you are praying what are traditional Catholic prayers. So that is the reason for the Hail Mary. In my opinion I would ask you to read the Bible. And pray the Rosary. I think that's why you are getting the resposes not to pray to Mary for her intercession. I would go to your local Catholic website, the are good for guidance in your Spiritual dryness. I would not look here for any positive re enforcement in Spiritual sense.
God Bless. http://www.catholicscomehome.org/epic/mo...
pray to god not mary or some other nonsence . the only one who can forgive sins is jesus not mary or some man .
if you ask jesus into your heart trust me you will not want to do any hail marys or what ever
just trust in jesus and read your bible
By asking this question you are already on the right path. A desire and willingness to persevere is in it's self a form of prayer. Good luck and God bless.
I recommend Baptist and read the Bible (New Testament especially.)
>>>the nearest Catholic Church is a very long walk. <<<
How about a bicycle?
I don't have a car either, and the Catholic Church where I go is at least 20 minutes on foot -- plus it's at the top of one of the MANY big hills in Korea.
But I bicycle it to the bottom of the hill, then walk the rest of the way.

Yes, that's a great idea.
I say a Rosary almost every day, but I don't do it all at once -- I don't have the ability to concentrate through a whole Rosary at once.
So I say the first decade first thing in the morning, the second one at lunchtime, the third around mid-afternoon, the fourth in the early evening, and the fifth just before going to bed.
.
Doesnt it say in the bible not to pray to Mary? Try sticking with God.
