goes dead, need to do cold boots all around. Last thing on the Server Event Viewer is "DCHP/BINL not authorized... (1051)". Another time it went dead -- again, after several hours of running OK -- I got a "Timeout waiting for DNS (7011)". LAN is all "Trusted".

Never any problems when Outpost isn't running.

  • Welcome to the forums Tecodick,

If you suspect a problem is being caused by Outpost, the first thing to check is for blocked traffic. This will mainly appear in Outpost's Blocked log, but applications can be blocked by the Attack Detection plugin, Component Control or Open Process Control so check the Attack Detection, Component Control and Alerts Tracker logs respectively also.

If you need further help, please provide more information about your network setup, specifically: which systems are running Outpost and details of related log entries; whether you are using ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) to share your online connection (also see the 1 FAQ if you are); if you are not running ICS, what arrangements you have made for DHCP and DNS (if in doubt, open a command prompt window on each PC and type ipconfig /all to get its DHCP/DNS details).
