The Scarring: Some UV inks are known to yellow or turn slightly brown with sun exposure. Also note that for non-colour based UV work, it is possible that outlines can become an issue. If the artist isn't careful, any ink or other materials they use to outline their design can become part of the work. This is not normally an issue with standard tattoos as normal coloured ink covers this. However for fully hidden UV art, this can be a problem, as it will most likely not be even, or well distributed within the work, and reveal some of the art instead of being mostly hidden (scarring can always give away the art).

The Pain: They have the same pain level as normal tattoos as they are the same, just a different ink.

The dangers: some people have reactions to the ink as it is not the same as normal tattoo ink. Some people have had reactions to ingredients in the ink, ranging from minor itching to dermatitis.

Extra stuff: They are way more expensive and not many places do them.

    hope this helps.

  • (this is all what i learned and none of is from personal experience)
1 most tattoos fade so it might fade over time
2 most tattoos scar after getting tattooed
3 i wouldnt see why they would
4 agian i dont see why not since theyre basically the same thing as normal tattoos

i also think these sound pretty good so i hope to see alot of answers

  • 1. all tattoos will fade at some point, that why you need to get them touched up everynow and then, to keep them looking fresh. as for black light tattoos, well since it's a very light ink ( no really seeable in daylight), they might fade faster, a little like white ink.

    2. scarring ?? well not more or less than with other inks from what i heard. well actually if exposed too much to the sun the ink could change to a weird pastel color and your ink would end up looking like a bad scar.

    3. the process of getting a tattoo is the same, it's just the ink that's different !!
    4. here's the hard point... there are more chemicals in this ink, which means it more toxic for the skin and could cause more allergies than other inks. i know that very few artists use this ink ( this is more of a trend ink than any others) because it's fairly new and that we don't really know it's consequences on the long term.

hope this helped !! good luck

  • I've never heard of them. Interesting.
