I feel like I am. I'm tired of wasting away my youth. I'm going to be turning 26 this upcoming January 2009. If all goes well I'm going to end up getting my associate degree in general studies in late spring 2009. Then I want to transfer to a four year university and get my bachelors.
All I've done so far is take crappy minimum wage jobs. Whenever I go into these jobs, I feel stupid. I feel my potential is so much more. I feel I'm more smart and I have more talents than to go from job to job and be some drifter.
A month ago I sat next to this guy at a restaurant and he was talking about how he had wasted away his youth, ugh. I don't want to be like that. I think sometimes that no ones life really starts until their late twenties. This is the point in time when you can start taking yourself more seriously and others start to take you more seriously. You have control of your life right now. With age comes confidence and experience. You have learn ed what works and what doesn't.
'I feel I'm more smart'
Dear, maybe you aren't, for you don't say 'more smart' you say 'smarter'.
I think you fit in just fine at those minimum wage jobs.
Also, maybe add to your little rant an actual question... Just a suggestion though.
You have made a major step forward in your life by recognizing that you could be leading a more meaningful life. Do not feel too badly about your past jobs. You learn something from every work or educational experience. It feels like you are moving forward with the four year college degree plan. You are not letting life pass you by. In spite of how you may feel at this time. This is your time. Take it!
