the global warming alarmists are good for a laugh now and again but that's about the only way I'm affected

  • Well..... it's about the same every year..... mild in the Spring.... warm in the Summer.... mild in the Fall.... and cold in the Winter.

    Seriously, that's about it.

  • Since global warming is based on junk science, and the world has actually been in a cooling period for over ten years, I would have to say it effects no one but Al Gore. It's helping his pocketbook quite well.

Aug 7, 2009 I do not buy into all the global warming hype. You can show as many maybe the changes in our lifestyles are having the desired effect.

  • Floccinaucinihilipilieication probably explains it best.

  • The effects on me are:

    Higher gas prices.
    Higher electricity prices.
    Higher natural gas prices.
    Higher food prices.
Greater inflation because of the above.
    Higher taxes.
More pollution because we are forced to run reformulated gasoline that reduces gasoline efficiency by 10%, does not reduce but actually increases carbon dioxide emmissions slightly and significantly increases smog. Remember, carbon dioxide is an odorless colorless gas, the brown haze over cities that smells bad isn't carbon dioxide because you can see the smog but you can't see carbon dioxide. Sorry for the repeated statements but most AGW cultists have great difficulty with understanding even the simplest of things and you have to be very specific with them.

  • It affects(effect is a noun) me only in that I get to laugh at the believers.

  • It does not.

  • Still waiting and so far this optimum is a big flop, it is not even as warm as the one between the Maunder and Dalton minimums let alone the real hot one between the Wolf and Sporer one about 1400. It is not even as warm as the 1600 one between the Sporer and Maunder minimums and we have not even gotten the arctic ice melt that we had back in the 40s during WW2.

  • Global cooling made the blackberry crop here stink this year, and I have to wear more than one layer more often this year.

I also had to listen to people ***** that this year we had "june-uary" because it was so cold during June.

  • Global Warming has little or no effect on me.

Although increased carbon dioxide levels may have a very small effect on the climate, the amount of that effect has been highly exagerated.

There is a very good new book out. The title is:
Red Hot lies, How Global Warming Alarmists use threats, fraud and deception to keep you misinformed.

I just bought a copy at Barnes and Noble. It is a very good book.

If you are interested in the subject of Global Warming this is a book that you will definitely want to read.

  • For what ever reason, the weather is definitely changing in our area. The time, type, and temperatures of our rain is changing which in turn affects everything that grows in the ground. It also affects every water system resulting in more flooding, less snow sometimes which leads to summer droughts, and a faster snow melt during the summers which leads to flooding and then drought. We seem to have many more violent rain and wind storms now too. In turn, these affect both wildlife and human life.

  • It has no perceptible effect on me.

  • It has not affected me very much yet, since I am a relatively wealthy westerner. It has affected many in poorer regions such as Africa and southern Asia, although it is very difficult to say for certain if any specific death was "caused by global warming."

Here is a very thorough breakdown by the WHO of the effects of climate change on international health:
    http://www.who.int/mediacentre/factsheet...

...the main effects are summarized here:

    * Increasing frequencies of heatwaves: recent analyses show that human-induced climate change significantly increased the likelihood of the European summer heatwave of 2003.
    * More variable precipitation patterns are likely to compromise the supply of freshwater, increasing risks of water-borne disease.
    * Rising temperatures and variable precipitation are likely to decrease the production of staple foods in many of the poorest regions, increasing risks of malnutrition.
    * Rising sea levels increase the risk of coastal flooding, and may necessitate population displacement. More than half of the world's population now lives within 60km of the sea. Some of the most vulnerable regions are the Nile delta in Egypt, the Ganges-Brahmaputra delta in Bangladesh, and many small islands, such as the Maldives, the Marshall Islands and Tuvalu.
    * Changes in climate are likely to lengthen the transmission seasons of important vector-borne diseases, and to alter their geographic range, potentially bringing them to regions that lack population immunity and/or a strong public health infrastructure.

  • I find I need more deodorant, KOOL menthol cigarettes, and Fresca.

  • I have to keep the AC on more than I'd like.

  • It doesn't unless the government decides to raise taxes on the pretext of saving the planet from global warming.
