I think we need to be secure in ourselves first before we seek relationships, how do you go about doing that? I want to be enough on my own with or without a guy.

What a dynamic question! I guess if we are 'enough' on our own we don't NEED a relationship to be whole. we WANT a relationship to share ourselves with independent from another.

As long as your confident in who you are, single or not, you're strong enough to maintain a relationship. And being single doesn't mean that you have to avoid dating either. It sometimes takes dating a lot of bad apples to really appreciate the good one when it comes around. be financially and emotionally independent - able to support yourself without depending on some man. that means having goals in terms of career and education, and working towards them; knowing how to pay your bills and deal with conflict and solve the kinds of problems that come up in the ordinary course of life. nobody is ever "complete" - but i believe all women should live on their own and pay their own bills for several years before getting married or living with a man.
