I cannot rate that cause the bible states it was pretty harsh.
God didn't watch as He cannot look upon sin. That is why we need Jesus to cover our sins, otherwise God cannot look upon us.
I know US Marines that have had their arms and legs blown off and suffered more than Jesus ever could have.
This is one of the many issues that ended up eroding my faith. Lots of people died by crucifixion, not just Jesus. Lots of people have died harder, more horrible slow painful deaths than Jesus was reported to have had, and yet his death has been held up to us as the most awful thing that ever happened. And why did anybody have to die to "wash out our sins?" Why didn't God just forgive us? Why did He need the blood? It simply doesn't make sense.

He was a human being just like anyone of us. He didn't suffer any more than any other Jew that was nailed to a cross during the Roman occupation.

it wasnt the pain that was so intense that they had to come up with a new name for it (excruciating :from the cross)

Of course it hurt. He was a human man that was tortured. Good thing for you and the rest of us that he did it though.
Christ suffered unmentionable pain and agony.
He was beaten so severely that "Many were amazed when they saw him â “ beaten and bloodied, so disfigured one would scarcely know he was a person" -Isaiah 52:13.
What the Christ did in our place should not be made a joke of - it should have been us to suffer such atrocities, we deserve it because of our sin. But, Christ took our punishment because He loves us and obeys His Father.
No the Father very much didn't enjoy watching.
Because the Almighty is Holy beyond our wildest imagination, He couldn't look at His Son as the Christ took on all the sins of the world.
When Christ asked His Father, 'Why have you forsaken Me?' (Matthew 27:46) It was because the Almighty turned His face from the Christ - because He cannot adhere to sin not even the ones taken on by His own Son and Christ.
But, yes I would have to say the Almighty was quite pleased not at His Son's suffering, but because His Son was obedient to His will.
