I mean cmon, recycling bins just ruin the scenery, Energy saving lightbulbs take about five hours to come on, and these bloody earth loving freaks are driving me crazy... who cares about the envormnent.
Does anyone feel the same as i do?
recycling bins ruin the scenery? Are you serious? Have you been to a landfill lately? Do you want to wait a minute or two (5 hours?!) for a light bulb to turn on or do you want to save money on your electric bill, seems like a no brainer to me :)
I know that it can be an eye sore....but I really do care. I am an animal lover and they are losing their home and there food sources.
The landfills are full of plastic bags and water bottles.
Plastic bags in the water can wrap around birds in the water and kill them. This makes me very sad.
Have you ever considered coming up with a cool better looking design for the recycling bins? Something to think about :-) Welcome To Home Energy Magazine Online:: Heat Pump Association, the Environmental Protection Agency, manufacturers, and The following are some of the broad claims of the industry, and how they really http://www.homeenergy.org/archive/hem.dis.anl.gov/eehem/96/961112.htmlHOME |
lol laytonbensingerjr-you must not have read the details of the question.
To answer your question, yes I am bothered. If you actually look at how we are dirtying and destroying our planet, and if you have any sense of compassion for anyone that is suffering because of it or the future generations of humanity, you would too. You may not be feeling the effects of coal sludge ponds that contaminate your water or pollution that contaminates the air you breathe, but there are people out there who are. So, You Want to Work From Home? - ABC News:: are a lot of people who really thrive on the comradery of an office environment, Find a spot where you wont be bothered or distracted when you need to work. http://abcnews.go.com/Business/SpecialSeries/story?id=3243222&page=1HOME | what are you really paying for? - After Hours| random discourse from :: and honestly Im not easily offended but these requests really do bother me. for a year or two in the work environment be insulted when that client asks them http://www.texasgoldengirl.com/afterhours/selling-time-energy/HOME |
And earth loving people aren't freaks for actually caring and wanting to make a difference in our world.
You have a right to your opinion, but I think you should really do your research and seriously think about what you are saying.
I hope there aren't many people that feel the same way that you do.
And are you serious about recycling bins ruining the scenery? I mean have you ever seen a dump before?
The environment is what is keeping us humans alive. It is our duty to keep it healthy and clean. You arrogant people who say "Who cares about the environment" really need to clean up your act. If you want this earth to look like a big dump, continue what your doing. A lot more people are starting to realize how disastrous our environment has became, due to global warming, and stuff like that. I AM NOT a tree hugger, but it makes me so angry to here people like you say "Who cares about the environment". Global warming is causing the earth to get warmer and causing more hurricanes to develop. By saying 'who cares' it just shows me that you want global warming to occur and have more severe hurricanes like Katrina hit the USA, that will cause more deaths! We don't need that!
You should try visiting countries with people who think the same way. Try China, as you can see during the Olympics the sky is hazy with brown clouds, the rivers so rife with bacteria its unsafe to even take a dip, and this is after the gov't pouring resources to do last minute cleanup to look good during the games. For countries like the US, and I assume Britain for you, enough of the "bloody earth loving freaks" pushed for awareness that helps to prevent that from happening.
Energy saving bulbs doesn't take long to come on, and nowadays the costs are low enough to see the money savings. What I believe though are approaches that saves both the environment and money, and you'll be amazed how many things they do have in common. Reduce buying prepackaged foods, in turn it reduces trash and food costs. Driving less, reduces car costs and gets more exercise, etc.
If it matters / I recycle all the time wish more people understood how you feel and what can happen to our Earth if we do not pitch in rite.
Like the other person said....have you ever seen a landfill before? Our eath is being destroyed from the inside out by excess.
I care about the environment but what type of cup you use is a choice, not a matter of "saving the planet." I think the radical environmentalists go way, way, way too far and I think they make up a larger proportion of the green movement than a lot of people think. I think when collectivists lost the debate on economic grounds they tried to change venues and argue the same points on environmental grounds.
I don't really feel the same as you, I used to though. Until I studied island bio-geography, climate anthropology and the history of countries who have ruined their environment and died off. I'm not a tree hugger but I have started by using less water and less... anything related to oil and doing other little things. I don't recycle though... I wish we had the opportunity where I live to have bins.
If you don't want to recycle or save money on your electric bill, don't. If you really bothers you that much then don't do it.
But if you really feel you have no responsibility to take care of the planet, maybe you'd like to get off. Good luck finding another source for air, water and food, all of which depend on a very specific planetary environment the likes of which we will probably never find again, certainly not in your lifetime.
I care. I try my best not to liter and burn plastic in my backyard and leave my car parked running all the time. But no. These fanatics are driving me insane too. Drill baby drill!!!! Global Warming is BS!
OK, OK. I care about the environment, and that includes reducing noise and keeping environmentalists off TV and in the paper. I'd like to see them outlaw the car horn beeping when people lock their cars remotely. And don't get me started on 'hood trousers.
YES! I'm sick of all the talk about GW when there isn't any proof it's real. Heck, the temps have gone DOWN. Doesn't sound like warming to me!
I use the light bulbs to save money. The one in my office drives me crazy since there is a slight delay before it turns on. I think I'll replace it with a regular bulb!
Sorry, I think the environment is very important because we all have to live in it. Without it we would have no place to live. If people don't preserve the environment, we would be living in a garbage dump knee deep in waste. Please reconsider your attitude and the environment.
