New Delhi, Sept 25:
MCD has planned a slew of measures, including awareness rally and fogging operation, as 125 fresh dengue cases have been reported in the national capital this week. Ideal Pakistan:: NEW DELHI: Former India captain Sourav Ganguly has said the time and current situation was not right for the Indian cricket team to tour Pakistan. http://idealpakistan.com/index.php/pakistan/1592-cases-of-violence-against-women-reported.htmlHOME |
By September 17, about 200 cases of dengue were reported including 115 cases from the capital and 85 cases from adjacent areas, a release from MCD said. This week about 125 cases have been reported, it said.
These cases are being investigated. Meanwhile, MCD has decided to launch a special health education drive by organising rallies and meetings with Resident Welfare Associations, checking domestic breeding and taking action against those who violate MCD's instruction on maintaining proper sanitation.
MCD has also started fogging operations which would cover all localities from where dengue cases have been reported.
There has been an increase in the number of dengue cases reported from the capital in comparison to the corresponding period last year, it said. This indicates that people are not paying attention to the prevention of mosquito breeding.
In an appeal to the denizens, MCD said that all people should report to the nearest hospital in case anybody suffers from fever or headache, the release added.
