hello,
i use the german version so some translations may not be correct.
there is a big problem with outpost here, if i close the connection and reconnect to the internet the aplications running on my pc can´t access the internet anymore.
i get "unable to resove dns" errors and if i rebbot the pc all works fin untill i get a disconnect after 24h from my provider or cut the connection myself.
the 2 promlem sems to be a bug in outpost 2.5.
the "attack detection plugin" shows no attacs or portscans anymore.
one other problem i had to add a rule for local loopback because no aplication worked with outpost until i set it to "fully trusted aplication"
i hope anyody here can help me dont want to use a other firewall.

To start with the last question about loopback. This is new behavior in 2.5 and explained in this Outpost 2.5 - what to expect (http://www.outpostfirewall.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11836) post. It should not be necessary to make any application trusted as this will allow all communications and is a security risk.
