when i am listening to music on a playlist on xbmc every new track that plays xbmc displays a now playing window, can i get xbmc to display this now playing window everytime a new video is played from a playlist as well?

are you reffering to the little window on the home window when playing a movie? what i would like is everytime that xbmc plays a video from a playlist a video overlay comes on with every new file and tells me what file is currently playing. just like playing music from a playlist only with video, i dont want to have to push a button to get it to display, i dont when i am playing a music playlist.

i would like it becuase i watch a lot of my media files as a playlist (so xbmc auto selects the next item to play for me, less thinking as to what i wanna watch). however it often starts playing things and i have no idea what i am watching. i would like that info window to appear when watching videos from a playlist. it would kinda act as a tv station showing me what is now playing everytime a new show starts. i agree while watching a movie in 2 parts it may get annoying, but is there a way to turn this on when only watching items from a playlist. it would be a great feature if you ask me, and i hardly ever watch 2 part movie files anyways (at least compared to video playlists).

ah, you're talking about the automated refresh of the music info while in the visualisation. that's what you want duplicated in video? why? that would be really annoying as most people watch movies that are split into "discs".

i think you are confused. the "now playing" window is the current playlist. if you are refering to the "music overlay" which is how you see the current cover and song info, then yes, there is an equivalent thing for video. if you're at the gui while a video is playing, you'll see a tiny video window, with some scrolling info on the bottom.

i would say that you are in the minority.
