well when i try to play mpg files it will start playing then all of a sudden the video will start speeding up like i'm fast fowarding but the audio will stay at the same speed. i thought it might have soething to do with the fact that i was streaming it but i put it on the hd and it still does the same thing. do you think it has something to do with the cache settings? that shouldnt have anything to do with the cache settings. if the video was stuttering, then yes. speeding up, no. post a debug log. mplayer usually spits out some info if there's something weird with a file. and does this happen to all mpeg's or just a few particular ones?
