I administer and operate a private IRC server for our company's internal use. I would like to set up some fun text-based games for our employees. These usually run as Eggdrop bots, or are C programs which need to be compiled. Examples would be MoxQuiz or Blitzed Trivia. Please find me a few other (a half dozen or so) IRC games that can be installed on our server (or run on a separate server if need be). Please, not just trivia games. I'm interested in sampling a variety of chat entertainment like word games, text adventures, puzzles, chatterbots, etc. *Note, I am not looking for #irc-channels where I can play such games as a client. I am looking for the actual programs so that I can set them up on our server. Thanks!

  • Legomaniac, thanks for your question. http://www.linux.org/apps/AppId_1241.html Acrotsr is an IRC game where players are given an acronym. The players have a certain amount of time to think of what the acronym should stand for. Then the people in the channel vote for the one they like most. #acrotsr on EFNet is a running example of acrotsr. http://www.linux.org/apps/AppId_1274.html Jik-Dice is an IRC robot which does AD&D dice rolling and other such helpful things for playing AD&D over IRC Search strategy: ://www.google.com/search?&q=eggdrop+bot+game Yourbot trivia, hot potato, spin the bottle, higher/lower,eightball http://ybbot.chatcircuit.com/features.html Search strategy: ://www.google.com/search?&q=eggdrop+bot+games MoxQuizz http://sourceforge.net/projects/moxquizz/ Blitzed IRC Trivia http://sourceforge.net/projects/harlequin/ Triviabot http://sourceforge.net/projects/triviabot/ [Obviously you know about the first two, the third is in the same line] http://sourceforge.net/projects/gameservirc/ A multiplayer RPG that connects as a psuedo server to an IRCD.
