My baby is 5 1/2 m . She won't take binky during day time but at night it a diffrent story. I will put her down at 7: 30 with binky. Starting at after 11 she starts crying because she lost her binky. So I have to go to het room and puting back. That would happen about 10 to 15 times per night. I don't get any sleep at all. I try just to let her cry but then she would go to sleep at all. And I have to be up with her all night. She also still eats about 5 oz an night ? Is she to big for a bottle? Can I just give her some water and not formula at night time.? What should I do about binky?? My 51/2 m old baby wont sleep with out her binky!!! Please help?:: In a few months shell be old enough to put it You shouldnt stop giving your baby formula until they are a year or so. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20081007105013AANXVvrHOME | I use to have this same annoyance! lol...however, i would just get up and down and put it back in..at least this way my son would sleep, which would mean i would sleep...he does seem to be outgrowing this and then at some point he will be able to put it back in his own mouth!!
You shouldn't stop giving your baby formula until they are a year or so. As far as the binky goes, you're either going to have to take it away completely or deal with continuing the same routine. In a few months she'll be old enough to put it back in her mouth by herself. But she might be fussy because she's teething or maybe has something else bothering her. Try giving her a little tylenol before bed and see if that makes a difference.
I've heard of cutting a piece of the nipple off the top of a binky if you're trying to ween her from it. And i don't think there is anything wrong with giving her a bottle still. She finds it comforting. Also have u tried a pacifier retainer ( a clip to the babys clothes that holds the binky? )
your kidding right? what nutritional value does water have?none..
your baby needs her food.have you thought about giving her some baby food?like stage1 veggies and fruits? that might help and also try giving her some cereal..cereal will keep her fuller longer.

You want to be careful about letting a child get used to having something other than water in a bottle when going to sleep. Kids who consistently take a bottle with milk or juice to bed with them at night have a tendency to have tooth problems (cavities) as they get older (the sugars sit on the tooth enamel and start to rot it away). Of course you want to make sure your child is getting the proper amount of calories each day (especially now as she is still very young), but it's something to think about in the future.
