  • It's almost impossible to eat too much protein.

    A diet based on meat, vegetables, and fruit, all of it as unprocessed as possible, is the best thing in the world for you. It makes logical sense.

    People were healthy before we had processed food -and corn subsidies and the FDA putting high fructose corn syrup in to everything and making it illegal to buy raw milk- so logically we don't need processed food to be healthy.

    There will be definite withdrawal symptoms as you switch to a healthier diet, which is why you should make the transition slowly. If you want to gain muscle, you start working out for 15 minutes, then 30, then 45, then an hour, and so on. Otherwise, your muscles will hurt so much that you'll never want to go back. Likewise, if all of a sudden you cut out all the food you've been eating, you'll have major cravings after the first day or two, probably binge, and figure it's not worth it.

    Drink juice instead of soda, then water instead of juice. Eat dried fruit instead of candy- I was basically addicted to Sour Patch for a while, and dried cherries have the same kind of tang, so they're not the worst substitute in the world. Avoid fried food whenever you can. The counterintuitive thing is that a high-fat, high protein, low-carb diet is very good for you- if you do it the right way.

    Good fats are the fats naturally found in meat, butter, and natural oils like olive oil, palm oil, and lard. Yes, lard. Basically, if you could get your hands on it without using a machine, it's good for you. I go through a ton of butter, and I'm in good shape. Also, the less you cook your meat, the better. Most people are more comfortable doing that with red meat, and understandably so -undercooked chicken has a disgusting texture- so try to incorporate steak and lamb chops in to your diet as much as possible. Better yet, have some red wine with that rare steak; it's actually good for your heart. Check the article in my sources.

    Eat an unprocessed diet, with a lot of meat and vegetables, fruit for snacks, and go easy on the carbs. Get sweaty at least three times a week, get enough sleep, and stay hydrated.

    The human body wants to be healthy. That's why you'll feel better if you spend an evening going for a walk and snack on some cashews than if you watch TV eating chips. One gets you endorphins and healthy fats, while the other gives you no endorphins and some extra salt. Pay attention to your body and it will be nice to you.

  • The hazards are if you're eating too much protein, veggies and fruits, then you're probably eating too many calories, gotta watch the calorie intake.

    Unfortunately people think if they eat more protein they will lose weight and gain muscle mass, but that's not the case. You actually have to use that protein (ie exercise), or it will turn to glucose which then turns to fat.

    Too much protein will also cause problems with your liver and kidney's, which you would see when you urinate (yeah I know... sounds gross) but it will become a very DARK yellow. It can cause UTI's as well. It can affect your absorption of vitamins as well.

    Fruits have lots natural sugars, but it's still sugar, so you have to be careful with that.

    Veggies have a lot of free foods, meaning you can eat as much as you want because of the water intake of it. Free foods like cucumbers, lettuce and such. But too much water intake makes some people swell or bloat. Too many starchy veggies can make you gain as well.

    You just have to make sure you're eating a well rounded meal without over doing it. I would suggest talking with a nutritionist or your doctor to work on a meal plan if you're in question.
