Coffee was spilled on our HP laptop and some of the keys stuck together. I tried to pry off some keys and then clean the coffee residue with rubbing alcohol, but then that was making me damage the keys. With that in mind, I just took a bunch of rubbing alcohol and basically saturated the keyboard (its 50% isopropyl alcohol, 50% water). I thought it would be fine, because when I got water on my Compaq laptop, it worked after it dried. But now certain keys don't work. For example, if you press 1, you get 1`. this is going to sound rude --but it is far from it --u learned ur 1st lesson here are the others u should try to practice in safe Computing
1st --no drinks by ur pc
2.-no food
3. never ever loan or let anyone but u on ur pc
4. if u leave the room close the lid ---pets and babies like to play with the keys

Don't bother taking it to someone to fix it. You simply have some sticky keys. Laptops are temperamental. Take the problems keys off, the 1 & ` or 4 & 5, and reinstall.
In the future, don't use some much alcohol/water on the keyboard and don't take the keys off again.

well that was kinda dumb to soak something electrical with something wet. but i think you could take it to a pc store and they might be able to fix it
