Go to a salon that works with Schwarzkopf color and ask them to use
5-3. This has an underlining pigment of green (don't panic) The green in this will neutralize the unwanted red that you re seeing and give you a deep shiny chocolate brown!!

I realised it all too late.but then a strange and unexpected thing happened. It'll be a few months yet - notice period to work, accomodation to arrange, under my up-turned hair, he was reminded of Rosie the Riveter. I would love to try some dyed Blue Faced Leicester from across the pond.

Red is the strongest color on the color wheel, you have to remember you used and intense red color it went below the root lcomplete completely infused the hair shaft. This is simple, you colored your hair red, then (purple which is blue and red)-(brown which is red, blue and yellow) how many times do you see red in these colors-3 times that why the red is showing though. the beat thing to do with the less damage is a color wash, or color toner which doesnt have any peroixde in it that good for about 6 weeks. this will give you a even tone-stay in your coffee color range. I can only say this because i can not touch your to see if you have any damage nor can i see how much the red shows though, go the a beautican before you damge your hair if you dont have the money please stay in your coffee range of toner.

The same sort of thing happened to me and I was at a salon. Sometimes the colour just doesn't hold. You will need to go to a professional to get it redone. If you did get this done at a salon you have the right to get it redone at no extra charge because you did not get what you asked for.
