Plagiarism: making people rich since The Bible
yes, they stole it, they stole a lot of their songs. If they didn't steal it, the songs would have never become famous and there would be no money to actually fight over.
I already told you yes, they did. The original song they stole the main riff from is called Taurus by Spirit. They also stole Dazed and Confused from Jake Holmes, they stole Whole lotta love from Mississippi Fred, You shook me from Muddy Waters and Bring it on home from Willie Dixon. They are being sued by many of these artists. They are just a bunch of work stealing wannabes in the end.
no

Yes, the solo is a direct ripoff.
this site lists all the songs and bands they borrowed from.
No. Jimmy Page wrote it when he was 21. Robert Plant did the lyrics. There are a lot of similarities between Zepp songs and others to the point where they had to change the title of Killing Floor/The Lemon Song on later issues of Led Zepp II. Well, they used to play another Spirit song on tour (Fresh Garbage), so it's reasonable to suggest that Zep had heard Taurus when they wrote Stairway
Charitably- the opening of Stairway was "inspired"...
