| Webteacher Software this week announced Webdata, an online, searchable database which combines the power of an advanced database program with the ease of the Web browser.
Webteacher believes that Webdata will open the arena of online databases and classifieds to the non-technical user. Unlike many other database applications which require the user to be familiar with CGI, SQL and ODBC, Webdata utilizes the Web browser to manage frequently used data. This data could typically consist of product inventory, real estate listings, help wanted ads or event schedules.
Webdata features templates which enable the database to be customized to suit the Web sites specific needs. The tool installs itself on Unix or Windows NT servers, and the database listings are updated and managed using a standard Web browser.
