Serious privacy problems in Windows Media Player for Windows XP::

I was sitting there checking things on facebook and all of a sudden my computer freezes, so i turn it off and turn it on again, and i get this blue screen that asks me for a password. my computer is a vista and was currently working fine. my normal login password did not work on the password that was required for me to log back in. i don't know what happened or how it happened, all i know is that i am stuck now with this blue screen demanding for a password, can anyone help? The Desktop is a folder. It's just a folder with a special relationship to the OS. The serious computer problem sound to me like just another Vista issue.

Does that screen has a mouse pointer?
or you can only use keyboard?
If only keyboard, then I'm assuming that the blue screen is BIOS or Recovery Console.
you might wan't to check the default password for that screen by doing a Yahoo or Google search on the title shown on the screen and your computer manufacturer, like HP, DELL, etc.

If all that doesn't work, you may need to reset the CMOS. (This step involves opening of CPU and resetting)
hope i gave you some idea on what to do..
try to just press enter without entering anything because i had something similar to that on my computer but i knew i didnt set a password so ther couldnt be one
Vista sucks. I had this problem before. I had to download software to reset the password thru command prompt. Google "password reset for vist" and will find many programs available to do this.
Restart the computer, hit F8 while starting. You will go to boot menu. Select Last known good configuration. If it doesn't work, do it again but select 'Safe Mode'.
may be there is a password set when the computer screensaver is activated, check your settings.
