Hello wngoju-ga,
The contact information for a developer/provider of such a software
would make a satisfactory answer for you?
Thanks,
Guillermo
I've had a preliminary contact with a developer specialized in
financial and investment software, whose clients are financial
institutions, and learned that the cost of a tailored development of
that kind is a critical factor. It would help to know what is the
budget you have in mind for this task. Thank you.
Sincerely,

Agree with all you say. I suppose in the end I'll write some VB for
excel to do most of the stuff sortof ad-hoc. It'll be an n-step
process.
With all the investors out there, websites, etc, it's hard to believe
there's no portfolio tracking stuff with actually useful
functionality. Foo.
Thanks!
You're right, development would unfortunately be way beyond your
budget, at least for this particular provider. Therefore, its contact
information would not make an appropriate answer in this case. A
free-lance programmer might be an alternative, but it doesn't sound
very likely to me that you'll get a result you can trust for such a
sensitive purpose --take investment decisions-- unless done by a
reputed expert. Maybe a very skilled and experienced programmer could
do as well, but the time needed to write it, test it, and have it
ready for a reliable use, I'm afraid would, again, exceed the amount
you could assign to this project. Please let me know your thoughts
about it and see if we can figure out an alternative way to match your
needs. Thanks,

Yes, contact info would be fine.

Being in the software biz, I would not think I could pay enough to
justify development. I could pay maybe $250 or so, thnx
