| When i insert a cd it doesnt open on my computer. i insert the cd and then nothing happens. and when i go to my computer there isnt a cd sigh or cd drive can someone please help me on whats wrong and how i can fix this? Computer Help::

hihi friend..
firstly i need you to do some checking in your PC bios setting.. please check that the bios under IDE drive have your CD-rom model code.. thats mean if there is, that mean your CD drive is responding and connected to your PC.. if you cannot see any CD-Rom connected in your PC bios.. that mean you have a faulty drive..
if none of them helps
click start
click run
type in diskmgmt.msc
a pop up dialog box will appear and reveall all your entire HDD and CD Drives..
try to find your CD drive there.. if there is none.. you probably have a dead drive.. perhaps send your pc back to the manufactorer or to a technician....
O.K. Go to the device manager, expand the "CD-DVD-ROM Drives". Right click on the drive and select "Un-Install". Then restart the computer. This reloads the drivers for the DVD/CD drive. The drive should then reappear in "My Computer".
Either the CD Drive is not attached properly
OR
it has malfunctioned
Check the connection by opening the CPU check the power cable to the drive and the connector as well
if evrything is ok inside than you need to get your CD Drive replaced/repaired
