Preview Systems has announced that Adobe Systems is utilizing its virtual packaging technology for distributing trial versions of Adobe GoLive software and Adobe LiveMotion software content creation and animation tools for the Web.
Preview Systems' virtual packaging technology, which protects both Mac and Windows versions of software, will let Adobe customers to try full versions of Adobe GoLive 5.0 and Adobe Live Motion 1.0 for 30 days. Adobe customers have the option to buy Adobe GoLive anytime during the trial period.
"Preview Systems' secure digital goods commerce platform enhances our ability to extend value and convenience to customers who purchase online at Adobe.com," said Jim Stephens, senior vice president, E-Business, Adobe Systems. "This technology allows us to deliver integral product solutions to both existing and new customers."

Adobe is including the trial versions of Adobe GoLive and Adobe LiveMotion as a bonus CD in 750,000 special packages of Photoshop 6.0 and upgrades to customers in the United States and Europe. Adobe Photoshop 6.0 buyers can take advantage of a limited time offer to purchase GoLive 5.0 for $99 until March 1, 2001. Customers can also purchase a perpetual license for Adobe GoLive by downloading a special key from www.adobe.com.
