| EarthLink Network Inc. and Mail.com Inc. Thursday partnered to produce
a new Web-based e-mail service.
EarthLink members can get their e-mail from anywhere there's an
Internet-ready computer.
Using Mail.com (MAIL)
Web technology, EarthLink (ELNK)
members may access their e-mail accounts from any computer connected to the
Internet.
Tom Andrus, EarthLink director of consumer product management, said
EarthLink has a very mobile customer base, so Web-based e-mail was a
critical service to provide in order to keep its clients happy.
"Offering members access to their e-mail accounts as simply as possible,
and in as many different places as possible, is a top priority," Andrus
said. "Mail.com's technology has allowed us to go even further toward
providing people with ubiquitous access to their EarthLink e-mail."
