Clinton Portis and Shaun Alexander as a 1-2 punch? SCARY!!!?

Rumors are swirling that Shaun Alexander is coming to DC!!! That will give the Redskins the best 1-2 punch at Running back that anyone has ever seen in a very long time, in my opinion. Portis leads the league in rushing with 643 yards, and Alexander is a former NFL mvp, yes he may be 31 years old, but I bet you he is a wonderful change of pace running back still, and he can still truck a few people too, especially on the goal line.

ladell betts is good enough we dont need alexander unless he is gonna try out for 3rd receiver slot. also cartwright isnt bad either, and we have marcus mason on the practice squad as well...

No there not going to be the best 1-2 punch in the league. Shaun Alexander has been running like he doesnt want to get his dress dirty.

depends it shaun alexander wants to play like the 2005 mvp or the fat lazy bum from last year.

no guys Betts is injured. Thats why they are looking at running backs. He would be a good compliment to Portis but Betts is still a better 1-2 punch

You've got to be kidding, I would take Ladell Betts over Alexander any day. The Redskins already have a very good 1-2 punch; Alexander's shot. If he was any good at all, he would've been signed already by someone.

I think betts would be better than alexander,so their fine.
This year the better two punch would be AP and taylor or even McCalister and bush(one for inside,one for outside).
alexander; don't get me wrong, was a good player..but he is too beat up to be what he was...so i don't think he would be a big a impact as you would think.

CALM DOWN...U r getting way too excited. Im a skins fan and i think we already have a great 1-2 punch with Portis and Betts. Nobody even wanted this guy and i think his best days are behind him. That toe is no good. We don't need him.

I'm a seahawks fan and i must say that it would not be. shaun alexander is done. he doesn't want to see contact and is afraid to be hurt. he was great for a while but he is done now. he's good for maybe 2 yards a carry now. our biggest problem in his last years was his inability to get 3 and short conversions and i highly doubt he'll truck anyone.
