The weird, wacky world of the Windsors - Philip Hensher :: The truth is that they lead such ludicrous lives that it must be hard for anyone working for them to think of them as human beings at all. http://www.independent.co.uk/opinion/commentators/philip-hensher/the-weird-wacky-world-of-the-windsors-608588.htmlHOME | After reading some questions here about people recently breaking up and being devastated, I got to thinking - isnt it weird how we allow ourselves be wide open to hurt and devastation when break ups happen.
Like, we wouldnt put our hands into a fire - we wouldnt exactly volunteer to be slashed with broken glass - but yet every time we enter into a relationship - we are openly walking into some of the worst potential hurt ever!
I know that as humans, we kind of have to do this - but when we protect ourselves so much in other ways - isnt it strange how we literally take our heart - hand it to another person and hope they wont smash it against a wall!!
xx
It is indeed strange, Pamela. But that is human nature. Things we do, do not make any sense and we still have this hope it is getting better.
Personally I think we are too spoilt and picky. Instead of having made our world easier by making decisions on our own, we made (through datiing) it actually more difficult.
And we also - after we experienced a bad sitaution e.g. like a break-up-influence those people, who are genuinely interested in us, although they are ready for us and we could have a bad relationship with them, but because our our bad experience we are not open to them and are even suspicious. true....but as human beings...we need lovedonez around us..we cant be alone..and so we keep exchangin heartz...which,,,leads to all tht pain....itz jus human nature,,,cant help it...:)
ye i get what you meen. sometimes i dont think love is worth the risk of the hurt that follows
Yes, it's weird... but it's not at all surprising. Society has given us incredibly bad information regarding sex, love, and relationships, and so it's no surprise to me that there is so much hurt, pain, and disappointment. People who aren't willing to educate themselves have to find out the hard way, and faulty expectations lead to all kinds of misery later on.
We're not that advanced; humanity has only been around for 55,000 years. There are people with no feelings (and an extremely analytical eye for things). They believe theyâ ™re the next step in human evolution - I like to call them atheists. They've mastered the whole relationship thing because they rarely have partners. thats true, but what to do, we are like that only :) when we fall in love, who ever the person may be, at that time, s/he is the world to us and we can see no wrong, no matter what...
i think wen u love someone or come in some sought of relationship then u get good but u should also be ready to face bad day
happiness n sorrows r a part of life.u did a mistake wen u r hurted in hurt instead of moving ahead u must not hurt urself 4 ur wrong deed.
who said we were advanced??? advanced compared to what???
all animals deal with pain and hurt in similar ways... we aren't unique in that...
some animals have monogamous relationships that last decades, and if one dies, the other is devastated...
we are nothing more than animals...
♪♫ oh yea i noticed it too ^.^ it's kinda funny but weird .. maybe because we're always hoping for that oportunity if it will work out .. and if not .. transfer to another .. haha :)) it's just the way life is ♪♫ ..
imagine what kind of world we would live in if we all walked around with our hearts strongly guarded.... the thing that makes us human, is the ability to feel emotion and deal with it....yes break ups are painful but they give us the human touch.... without them we would be robots, dont you think?
Hmmm.
Yes I would have to agree that it is ironic.
But at the same time measuring out the pros and cons, sometimes you need to take a risk in order to win it all.
I am madly inlove with my current boyfriend of two years and if he broke up with me this second I wouldn't take it all back. He has taught me so much about life, love, and friendship.
And at the same time you have to go into that relationship ready to fight for it if it starts to slip. I think it is important not to rush into anything with anyone in fear that you might get hurt.
Good Question. Makes ya think.
Yeah, someone should Invent some kind of anti-heart breaking device. lol
