A Birthday party idea by preciouzpatty - my son is turning 3 this month and i had a http://bestpartyever.com/HOME | my carpet is white and I'm giving my son a party I don't want to get spills on the carpet...what can I put over my floors so the kids don't have to worry about spilling there kool-aid etc..I want the entire floor covered the living room & dinning room,,,any ideas will be nice.
Seriously? A halloween party with white rugs??? Have you lost your mind? Kids, plus halloween punch (blood red right?) equals spills! After 5 kids and many, many, many ....many parties, I can tell you, you are out of your mind (or just naive) if you think there is a way to keep your rugs WHITE while serving halloween punch! Treasure Hunts are Fun:: We had the Halloween treasure hunt party the day after we ordered your planner. It was my son’s 12th birthday party and he complained that he didn’t want to http://www.treasurehuntbook.com/content/testimonials/HOME |
Let's face it, if you get through this thinking you have had no spills, you have died and gone to dreamland!
How about the garage or a tent in the back yard! How old is your son? Does he have his own apartment? Let him reck his own rugs!
plastic will be slippery and will tear easily....i would go with the drop cloths. if there is any way that they could be sewn together this would be better so you wouldn't have any gaps. you would have to put something to weigh them down on the edges. the extra work will be worth it if you save your carpet. i would still keep lots of paper towels handy tho. you could get spooky designed plastic table clothes and set them on the floor. or try plastic sheets. they sell plastic furniture and floor covers.
you could also get some canvas floor sheets that people throw down when they paint rooms.
honestly i like the idea that the first person gave u!!i was gonna say that too.
Cut up extra heavy-duty trash bags taped together with duct tape. Maybe two layers. This will work better if there are wiping cloths to throw down immediately on mishaps and maybe cardboard "coasters" under any furnishings that can't be eliminated to prevent holes getting torn in the plastic.
Good luck and consider moving the whole thing to the back yard.
